During the past several months, the Li Ka Shing Library welcomed five new staff, all bringing with them a diverse set of skills and experiences as we embark on our next exciting journey of implementing the Integrated Library Management System and the Digital Library . Read more about them from their background below.

Amanda graduated with a degree in Communication-Information from the University of Canberra, Australia. During her undergraduate studies, she worked part-time as an Information Officer at the Australian National University (ANU). She is Library Specialist, Acquisitions where she assists with the Serials Collections. Amanda also is part of the Circulation Team at Customer Service Centre.

Jacky' s role as a Systems Librarian in Li Ka Shing Library revolves around the implementation of IT systems in library. Prior to this, he worked in Temasek Polytechnic as a Systems Specialist specializing in Digital Library and Enterprise Content Management implementations. Jacky has a Bachelor of Computing degree from National University of Singapore. When not toying with IT ideas, he enjoys swimming and jogging.

Ju Wei joined SMU as Acquistions Librarian where she covers acquisitions, serials and databases. Prior to joining SMU, she worked at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and at the Library of Congress office in Jakarta . She has a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management with a few years experience in the Hospitality Industry and a Masters in Information Studies.

Pin Pin is Research Librarian, supporting the School of Economics and the School of Social Sciences . She also manages the Information Services Centre in the Library . Previously, she worked at NUS Libraries for many years and has a strong background in reference and user education. She has an Honours degree in Economics and a post graduate degree in Information Management and Librarianship.

Rajen's portfolio as Research Librarian is managing the Customer Services Centre and Training. He has worked in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates . Rajen has a double master's degree in Library and Information related disciplines from Sheffield , UK and the University of Natal, South Africa. Before joining the SMU, he worked as Senior Librarian managing training and the information literacy programme at the National Library Board, Singapore.
