Borrowing Stations

Borrowing stations are available on Level 2 and Level 3.

The Borrowing Station enables users to do DIY (Do-It-Yourself) borrowing.
All items (except reference items How to) can be borrowed using the Borrowing Station.
Course Reserve must be borrowed using the Borrowing Station before they are brought outside the Course Reserve Section.

Note:
  1. Borrow one item at a time
  2. Check the receipt or view online to check your library account and loans issued
Borrowing Instructions
Step 1 Select language
Step 2 Place your SMU card or NRIC into the slot. Do not remove the card utill all items have been successfully borrowed.
Step 3 Place one item within the borrowing zone (blue pad). Remove item from the Borrowing Zone when screen shows "loan confirmed". Loan receipt may indicate:
* which means items are removed too quickly from the blue pad; or
@ which means items are placed together on, or near the pad
Gate alarm may sound in such cases. Please approach the customer service counter for assistance.
Step 4 Repeat Step 3 if you wish to borrow more items.
To end, please remove your SMU card or NRIC from the slot.
Step 5 Please remember to collect your receipt.
