Course Reserve

Course Reserve (CR) is a recommended course textbook and is located in the Course Reserve Section on Level 2.

It can only be borrowed by students and faculty.
The book spine of a CR is pasted with a red dot.
CRs must be borrowed using the Borrowing Station How to in the Course Reserve How to Section.
You can return CRs using the 24-hr Book Drop How to or @ Customer Service Centre.

For Faculty who would like to recommend textbooks to be placed in the Course Reserve Collection, please refer to the Services to Faculty webpage for more details.

Notes
  1. Re-borrowing is permissible only when at least one copy is available on shelf.
  2. Please return all loans promptly to avoid overdue fines How to.
  3. The Librarian reserves the right to stop loan or recall loan How to if hogging of a CR by several students of the same group is observed.
Types of loans
2-hr loan
  • Issued between 8am - 6pm
Overnight loan
  • Issued after 6pm from Monday to Friday
  • Loan to be returned no later than 10.30am on the next working day
  • Example: Overnight loan issued from 6pm to 12 midnight (library closes @ 12 midnight); to be returned latest by 10.30am on the next working day
Weekend loan
  • Issued on Saturday after 12pm to Sunday
  • Loan to be returned no later than 10.30am on Monday
  • Example: Weekend loan issued on Saturday after 12pm; to be returned latest by 10.30am on Monday
