Services to Friends of the Museum (FOM)
We are happy to announce that the FOM Collection of fiction and non-fiction titles have been incorporated into the SMU Collection.
The fiction books are inter-shelved with the library's Lifestyle Collection which is located on Level 2. As for the non-fiction books, they are distinguished by the FOM Collection label on their spines and are located on Level 4.
You may wish to use OPAC to locate FOM titles by typing FOM Collection in the search box. All the FOM titles will be displayed. Search the online library catalogue.
What are my access, membership and borrowing privileges?
Plan A: FOM Access Only (No Loans):
Promotional Registration: FREE before 1st October 2008! (Membership validity period is 16 months).
Thereafter registration cost is $50 per annum (incl. GST; normal rate is $100). Benefits include: Access to the collection and photocopying services at your own cost using your Cashcard.
Plan B: Personal Membership (Includes Loans):
Promotional Registration: $150 before 1st October 2008! (Membership validity period is 16 months).
Thereafter registration cost is $150 per annum (incl. GST; normal rate is $300). Benefits include: Loan of two items from either the Lending, FOM or Lifestyle Collections for 2 weeks (subject to recall). An overdue fine of $1 per item per day is incurred.
