Locating specific periodical newspaper articles
Newspapers and periodicals such as magazines and journals subscribed by the library are available either in print copy or electronic format or both. Follow the steps below if you are looking for specific articles published in these publications.
You will be prompted to enter your SMU login ID and password if you are accessing the e-resources off-campus.
1. Check the e-Journals website if library has electronic access to the full text.
Example:
Find the article: Kaplan, Robert S., & Norton, David P. (2006). How to Implement a New Strategy Without Disrupting Your Organization. Harvard Business Review, 84 (3), 100-109. [Tips]
2. For newspaper articles, search the databases Factiva and/or Lexis Nexis.
Databases --> F --> Factiva [Tips]Example:

Databases --> L --> Lexis Nexis [Tips]
3. Search the Online Catalogue to verify if library subscribes to a print copy of the periodical or newspaper. [Tips]
