SMU now has access to ICPSR

The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) is the world’s largest archive of social science data, containing 65,000 data sets from more than 10,000 studies.

The ICPSR data holdings cover a wide range of social science areas such as: population, economics, education, health, psychology, political science, social indicators, terrorism, history, crime, aging, and substance abuse.

Users can:

  • Download raw data files for use with statistical software, such as R, SAS, SPSS, and Stata
  • Search data-related literature
  • Explore teaching and learning materials such as: courses, webinars and video tutorials
