SMU research making worldwide impact with 3 million downloads in InK

Dear SMU community

SMU research publications have been downloaded 3 million times from InK, our institutional repository. The downloads are largely from educational institutions located in United States, United Kingdom and Germany. From Asia, the downloads are mostly from Singapore, India, China, Philippines and Malaysia. These are the countries where SMU research is making an impact.

InK was launched in 2011 and hit 2 million downloads in July 2018. In just one additional year, InK accumulated another 1 million downloads, from a collection of close to 9,000 full text papers.

We express our thanks to all SMU community members who have worked with our library team over the years to include their papers and publications in InK. We encourage you to continue doing so.
