From the Desk of Gulcin Cribb
University Librarian
I am delighted to share with you news about the library renovation program to upgrade spaces and facilities in Li Ka Shing Library in response to feedback received from students and faculty and to cater for increased numbers of library users. The renovations will result in a 24/7 Learning Commons, additional study spaces including a variety of seating for quiet study and interactive group work for both undergraduate and post-graduate students and a single information desk for all enquiries. The new spaces will be delineated into different learning zones where Library users may choose among interactive, creative, or reflective learning areas. We expect the work to begin in late June 2014 and largely completed by the beginning of the 2014/15 academic year. Please read about the details of the enhancements below.
We are looking forward to enhancing library support for the SMU community further.
