The Man Booker Prize is awarded each year to the best novel, written in English, published by a British or Irish imprint. It is considered, “the leading literary prize in the English speaking world.” Nominated authors can be of any nationality. The winner receives a £50,000 cash prize, and shortlisted authors receive £2,500. This year’s prize is awarded October 14, 2019.
