We are proud to share that our InK, our institutional repository, has reached an extraordinary milestone: 12 million downloads worldwide. This milestone demonstrates the growing visibility, accessibility, and influence of SMU research since the repository was launched in 2010.
The bulk of the downloads come from the educational sector, followed by commercial sector. In Asia, the top downloading countries are Singapore, China (including Hong Kong), Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, while the United States, United Kingdom and Germany are the most active outside the region. Recent publications on AI, urban sustainability, ageing, and digital transformation have been particularly popular.
