Just in time for Term 1 (August 15, 2016) the Library has made enhancements to its lending policy. Read on to find out how this will affect you.
For all
The Library has expanded access to short term loans in Course Reserves:
- The 2-hour Course Reserves loans has been extended to 3 hours.
- The lending policy for 3-hour loans have been aligned to the Library’s opening hours, as shown below:

10:00 am - 9:00 pm |
Sunday |
1:00 pm - 9:00 pm |
- 3-day loan items have been located into the general collection.
What does this mean?
Reserve items can be borrowed up to 30 minutes before closing time and must be returned the next morning when the Library opens.
Why the change?
The Library has received frequent requests from students to extend 2 hour loans to 3 hours; and to expand access to Course Reserve materials.
For faculty, post-doctoral & PhD students
Loan entitlements have been changed to 100 items. Loan period is 112 days (224 days if renewed).
