SMU Office of Alumni Relations & SMU Libraries Present
Panel Dialogue:
SMU Women at the Forefront of Sustainability
Wednesday, 8 March 2023, 6:30 PM - 9 PM (SGT)
Quiet Area, Li Ka Shing Library, Level 5
In celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day on 8 March 2023, join us for an inspiring panel dialogue with Professor Wang Heli, Dean of the College of Graduate Research Studies and SMU women in sustainability, alumnae, Ho Shyn Yee (BBM 2004), Genevieve Joan Soh (BBM 2013 & BAcc 2013), Wu Sining (BSc Econ 2018) and Jane Gan (BSc Econ 2006, MCM 2020).
Some research studies have shown that having gender diversity in top senior management positions have led to better organisational outcomes, and other research studies have shown that women leaders have been more effective in sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. As part of the panel dialogue, Professor Wang Heli will share insights from academic research on this topic and moderate a discussion with leading SMU alumnae who are driving sustainability efforts in their respective fields.
Our SMU alumnae will also provide a unique and insightful view of the current sustainability initiatives, trends and opportunities along with their personal experiences, achievements, and lessons learned as they strive towards creating a more sustainable future.
